Saffron karak Tea

Ingredients

  • 3 tea bags of black tea

  • 3 cups water

  • 1/2 tsp. cardamom powder

  • 1/2 tsp. clove powder

  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon powder

  • 1/8 tsp. saffron

  • 2 tbsp. sugar

  • 1/3 cup evaporated milk

  • 2 anise star

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, bring water to a boil. Cook uncovered over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved.

  2. Place the tea bags into the water and let it steep for 1 minute. Retire the tea bags.

  3. Add the cardamom, cinnamon, clove and saffron powders and let the tea boil for 30 seconds.

  4. Add the sugar and evaporated milk and bring it to boil, than remove from heat, and then repeat this for 5 times until the milk riches a golden color.

  5. Serve and top with saffron and anise star.
